Hi, I am Monika,
Ashtanga and Yin Yoga teacher, Traveler & Blog writer
Born and raised in Slovakia, I’ve always loved to travel, discover new cultures and explore far philosophies. After my graduation in psychology in France, I spent several years working in the corporate world in Ireland and Berlin. The office job was literally destroying my being. Getting too anxious and easily stressed, I started to practice yoga. Yoga classes after work were bringing so much harmony and joy back to my life. From there, a desire to go to India arose. So I did something crazy, I just left everything and bought one-way ticket. Six months travelling around India, practicing yoga in ashrams, learning from gurus, staying in Buddhist monasteries have profoundly impacted my life. Thanks to yoga, I discovered that there is so much more to this life than just our body and material things to which we are so much attached. I became very passionate about all aspects of yoga that it felt natural to pass on the yoga teachings to others. After completing several teacher’s training in India, I was lucky to teach in places like Berlin, Sri Lanka and Bali. Studying yogic philosophy and practicing all limbs of yoga daily motivates and inspires me to create more peaceful and harmonious life for myself and others. As the only way to teach currently is virtually, I’ve created an online yoga program which you can join from the comfort of your home. Check the schedule for more information and I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
